The major rehabilitation of the historic One Madison Avenue involved the gut interior demolition of the 17 story building, full deconstruction of floors 17 to 10, and structural demolition of the entire building core down to cellar level.

The project included major asbestos and hazardous materials abatement. This was a LEED V4 Project, which required innovative solutions for waste management and disposal throughout demolition.

Undertaking major structural demolition on a historic building, adjacent to an occupied hotel, presented significant logistical and technical challenges to this project. Despite these challenges, Titan completed the work successfully and 2 months ahead of schedule.

This large demolition project includes the full interior and structural demolition of 3 individual towers. The buildings are 21, 19, and 13 stories in height, with a total square footage of approximately 352,000.  In addition to demolition, there is substantial hazardous materials and abatement to be completed.

Located adjacent to a landmark building and within the influence of Grand Central tunnels, this project presents a sensitive and challenging work environment.  Structural demolition is expected to begin in 2022 and Titan is confident that work will be completed safely and within budget and the scheduled time frame.
